Maria Fernanda Juppet Ewing is a distinguished Chilean lawyer and the current CEO of CryptoMKT, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in Latin America. Since her appointment in December 2021, Juppet has become the first woman to lead a crypto exchange in the region, marking a significant milestone for the industry.
With a strong academic background, she holds a Master's in Corporate Law from Universidad del Desarrollo, an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the University of California, Berkeley, an MBA from the University of Valencia, and a doctorate in Business Administration from Cass Europe.
In addition to her executive role, Juppet is the author of five books and more than 40 academic articles. The core tenets of her leadership focus on gender equity, diversity, and the democratization of access to digital finance in Latin America, all from a perspective of regulatory compliance.
